Prior to that, our President and founder, Ira Barkoe had served in a number of high level executive positions directing sales and marketing operations. As Executive Vice President for COMSTOR, a networking and computer distributor, he oversaw the marketing and sales operations of this $400 million dollar company.

During his seven years at GBC Technologies, he managed the sales and marketing programs as Vice President. Under his influence, this computer and networking distributor grew from $35 million to over $800 million.

As the Internet has become a more attractive marketplace for small and medium size companies, IMC has assisted many companies in evaluating the pros and cons of developing and implementing an e-commerce strategy. This has included a variety of different tasks, each based on the individual business and its goals.

In some cases, the companies already had begun the effort by establishing an Internet presence but were not seeing the results they had expected.   In others, they were starting from scratch and needed the guidance and hand holding necessary to develop their Internet presence and achieve their e-commerce objectives.
